Thank you, Jellies.

8 years, 1 month and 5 days ago, on Australia Day 2005, <Knights of Vegemight> was formed on the Uldum server.
2 years and 10 months ago, in May 2010, the officers and raiders transferred servers to Dath’Remar to form <Jelly>.
On Sunday 3 March 2013, after consistently raiding through every single tier of every WoW expansion as a guild, the Jelly officers were faced with an unenviable task. We have had to announce to our members that the guild we have been so proud of, and that we have worked so hard to keep going for all these years, will raid no more.
Disappointingly, a recent act of mass poaching, orchestrated from within the guild, has seen us take a hit to our numbers from which it has proved too difficult to recover. It’s been a very sad end for a guild that always strived to maintain a good reputation and do the right thing by others, including upholding a strict no-poaching policy.
Anyway, as the Jellies now go their separate ways, I want to take this opportunity to thank all our members, past and present, for contributing to what’s been a wonderful home for myself and so many others over the years. I don’t believe there’s a finer bunch of individuals with whom we could have adventured through the World of Warcraft. I’ve met so many amazing people through the guild who I’m now proud to call my friends, and I know many others feel the same.
I’d like to especially salute the contributions of the current and former Jelly officers: Bruce (Chiyunoki [formerly Beastgirl]), Simon (Windrider), Chris (Kallio), Alex (Cyóne), Ivan (Sidieon), Kimmi (Pinkinsanity) and Abe (Cleanse). Your selfless hard work is what kept everything going.
Jellyfests* were amazing. It’s a shame we couldn’t have organised them more often. Those who were lucky enough to experience one will agree.
I’m going to miss pretty much everything about the guild, and I’m incredibly sad I will no longer be able to come home from work and log in to speak to you all.
On behalf of myself and the other Jelly officers, thanks again to those who stood by us through the tough times and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us as we celebrated our numerous victories over the years. A little part of you will always be Jelly.
*Little-known fact: Jelly was actually named after our KoV guild meets, known as Jellyfests, and not the other way around!
And finally, it’s time I came clean. That Tidy/Lone guy and that Sleazius were way better PVP’ers than me. And those guys, that kept hacking the site, that were calling it ‘art’… those guys rock.
